Blue seventy wetsuits logoBlueseventy is wetsuits and swimmwear company that comes from New Zealand. They are based in Napier, New Zealand and also have offices in Seattle, WA, USA, and Derby UK. Their goal is to make products that enhance the experience of swimming for everyone who wears Blueseventy. The name Blueseventy comes from the fact that 70% of our planet is covered in water.

Blueseventy was founded in 1993 as a company called Direct innovations. At the begining they produced and sold neoprene bike seat covers but then they developed one of the world’s original triathlon wetsuits and renamed themselves into Ironman Wetsuits. They became the the official wetsuit of the Ironman triathlon.

In 2005 they created the Blueseventy brand and continued to release new highly successful wetsuit models.

For instance – athletes set several world records in the pool using their nero comp swimskins and Helix TST suit is voted best triathlon wetsuit in the world.

About the Ironman Series

Since it began as a challenge between a group of Navy Seals, the Ironman has grown to become one of the most recognized endurance events in the world. Originally a combination of the Waikiki Rough Water swim, the Around Oahu Bike Race and the Honolulu Marathon, the Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run and is held as Ironman World Championship every October in Kona, Hawaii.
