When it comes to buying your wetsuit and choosing the right size you will find that wetsuit sizes are usually given in S, M, L sizes. Wetsuits are pretty stretchy and are getting even more elastic every year so there is no need for lots and lots of different sizes like for instance with normal everyday clothing. Most of the wetsuit sizes are pretty self explanatory but there are some sizes that we feel need some explaining. Here is a list of the most commonly found sizes of wetsuits for men together with a short comment. This is by no means set in stone as different companies can use the same size mark for a bit different things but in general, this will give you a good idea of what each size represents. S - SmallNothing much to say here. Small is small. Small is for someone that isn't tall and has the right weight for his size. MS - Medium ShortMedium is the most popular size I think. This is the reason that M has the most variations. Of all the variations MS is the smallest. MS wetsuit is intended for someone that is small but has a bit stronger body shape. M - MediumThis is the standard medium size. MT - Medium TallThis is the size for someone that is a bit skinny and tall. If he would have a bit stronger body shape he could wear a L - Large wetsuit. MLS - Medium Large ShortThis is the size for someone that is quite heavy but short. Not a very common size and not many wetsuit manufacturers carry it. ML - Medium LargeThis is the opposite from MT - Medium Tall. ML wetsuit is for someone that has the height for the medium size wetsuit but is a bit heavier. MLT - Medium Large Tall This size is similar to L and is not a very common size and not many wetsuit manufacturers carry it. LS - Large ShortLS wetsuit is intended for someone that is smaller than L size but has a bit stronger body shape. L - LargeNormal large wetsuit. LT - Large TallIf you are taller than large but a bit skinny then this is the size for you. XLS - Extra Large ShortXLS wetsuit is intended for someone that is a bit smaller than XL size but has a bit stronger body shape. XL - Extra LargeNormal extra large wetsuit.
