What is the best wetsuit company?

I really don’t like “what is the best” questions since the answers are usually a bit biased and you can never really tell what is the best wetsuit or company out there. Everyone is looking for different things in their suits and different things are differently important to them. Flexibility over warmth, warmth over flexibility, zipper, no zipper, eco production or you don’t care, style and colors, brand image, etc… Plus there is the body size and shape factor, where some models can be better suited for your body shape than others.

But still – I am going to list five (best if you want) surfing wetsuit companies in no particular order. This doesn’t mean these are the only good companies out there, it just means that if you get a wetsuit from one of these you can be quite sure that it will be a good one.

  1. We live in Mississippi and just put in an inground salt water pool. I want to use it for water aerobics and swimming this winter. It is heated to 84 degrees and it gets down to freezing some of the time here. What type of wet suit would you reccommend. I weigh 140 and am 5’5″. I think I would just need the top since my shoulders get so cold.
