Reef booties are meant to protect your feet while you are dancing through the reef but they are also made for surfing. You should get used to them or if you really hate wearing booties while surfing you can tuck them into your wetsuit on your back where they won’t bother you. If you are not wearing one then there is not much you can do. Either leave them at home or wear them while surfing.
